Please help. This is my problem.

Today the center City baseball team scored 10 runs . The day before yesterday they scored x. How many runs did they score in these two days.

If i told you that yesterday you had 3 apples, and today you had 2, could you figure out how many you had during both days?

Sure you could. Just add them up: 10+x
Never mind what x is. Just know that whatever it is, adding 10 to it will give you the total runs.

To find out how many runs the center City baseball team scored in these two days, we need to know the value of x, which represents the number of runs they scored two days ago.

If you know the value of x, you simply add it to the number of runs they scored today (which is 10) to get the total number of runs scored in these two days.

For example, if x is 5, then the total number of runs scored would be 10 (today's runs) + 5 (runs from two days ago) = 15 runs.

Therefore, you need to find out the value of x in order to determine the total number of runs scored in these two days.
