= ∫x^(1/2) dx from x=0 to 4
= [ (2/3)x^(3/2) ] from x = 0 to 4
= (2/3)(4^(3/2)
= (2/3)(8) = 16/3

b)
so we want
∫x^(1/2) dx from x = 0 to h to have a value of 8/3

(2/3)h^(3/2) = 8/3
h^(3/2) = (8/3)(3/2) = 4

h = 4^(2/3) = 16^(1/3) or cuberoot(16) or appr 2.52

c) this next part can be done in the same way
first let's find the volume from x-0 to 4

V = π∫ x dx from 0 to 4
= [(1/2)πx^2 ] from 0 to 4
= (1/2)π(16) = 8π

d) set the integral equal to 4π and solve for k
