# "Given: An aqueous solution of C6H12O6 with a density of 1.18 g/ml"

I) Calculate Molarity
1) It firsts asks me to, "State the moles of solute"
2) Calculate the mass of the solute in grams - I think I can do this if I know how to get #1
3) Later it also asks, "State the kilograms of solvent" - since it says state, I think it's supposed to already be given, but I'm not sure, so clarification and help would GREATLY be appreciated.
4) Calculate the mass of solvent in grams
5) Calculate the mass of the solution
6) Calculate the volume of the solution in liters
7) Calculate the molarity of the solution

I need a lot of help with this molality.

I forgot to add. It has 1.62 molality. My teacher had forgotten to add that to the question, so we had to write it down, so I forgot to include it.

1.62 molal means 1.62 mols solute + 1 kg solvent(H2O).
1.62 mols C6H12O6 = 1.62 mols x 180 g/mol = 291.6 g solute + 1 kg water = 1291.6 g total mass.

volume = mass/density = 1291.6/1.18 = 1094.6 mL = 1.0946 L

Molarity = mols/L = 1.62/1.0946 L = ?? M.
I think you can get the parts of your problem from the work above.

Thanks so much!
