1) All throughout my high school career, I have been a leading contributor to my school through my academics, community service, and school clubs. These areas of interest, along with my leadership and communication abilities, gave way for a passion in business. I became a leader figure over a diverse group of people in our school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Philosophical Society, and Mock Trial clubs. In class, I enjoyed learning about the way successful businesses first started, implemented their ideas, and managed themselves to become successful. I also enjoyed classes in which I learned how to start a business and the legalities required to do so. This passion drove me to excel in my business courses and maintain a 4.0 GPA in all business classes throughout my four years of high school. As a University of Maryland student, I hope to pursue my desire to learn about general business practices and become an entrepreneur.

Good strong ending! Hooray!

My academic interests are focused on business and entrepreneurship. Throughout my high school journey, I have actively participated in various activities and clubs that have nurtured my interests in these areas.

One of the key experiences that shaped my passion for business was my involvement in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club. Being a leader within this club allowed me to develop my leadership and communication skills while also gaining practical knowledge about business practices. Through FBLA, I had the opportunity to participate in regional and state-level competitions, which further fueled my interest in business by exposing me to real-world scenarios and problem-solving.

In addition to FBLA, my involvement in the Philosophical Society and Mock Trial clubs also played a significant role in nurturing my interests. These clubs helped me develop critical thinking and analytical skills, which are essential in the business field. These experiences taught me to approach problems from different perspectives and to think creatively, skills that I believe are valuable in the business world.

In terms of academic coursework, I particularly enjoyed classes that focused on the foundations of business. Learning about the history of successful businesses, their strategies, and how they managed to achieve their goals fascinated me. Additionally, courses that addressed the legal aspects of starting and running a business sparked my curiosity. Understanding the legal requirements and regulations involved in entrepreneurship became a crucial aspect of my academic interests.

Through my experiences in high school, I have discovered my passion for business and entrepreneurship, which aligns with my career aspirations. As a University of Maryland student, I plan to continue exploring and expanding my knowledge in general business practices. I aspire to become an entrepreneur and apply the skills and knowledge I acquire to start and manage my own successful business.

Overall, my academic interests in business and entrepreneurship are the result of my active involvement in school clubs, my enthusiasm for learning about successful business practices, and my desire to become an entrepreneur in the future.
