I need ideas for this question I have no idea what to write. Thanks.

In the past marriages were often arranged by parents. They still are in many societies today. On one side of a piece of paper, list some of the things that might be said in favor of an arranged marriage. On the other side list some of the objections to it. You might proceed by asking yourself, "What problems might an arranged marriage eliminate or create? What benefits might it bring or prevent?"

  1. Please someone I won't take your ideas I just need examples

  2. There are a slew of ideas in these sites.

I personally can't think of any reasons in today's world on the positive side of that idea. Being an "old " feminist may have something to do with that <G>

  3. Here are some webpages that might give you some ideas:

You can find more by going to www.google.com and entering either or both of the following:

    pro arranged marriage

    con arranged marriage

  4. Just to play devil's advocate --

Most Americans choose a spouse and marry when they are in their early 20s. As we all know, young people don't always use the best judgment in choosing a spouse. I don't know what the divorce rate is today -- but a large percentage (30%??) of U.S. marriages end in divorce. Young people get blinded by love and infatuation and often don't really think about raising a family and spending many years together. Although I'm also a strong feminist, for the good of the married couple and the community, sometimes parents make wiser decisions.

  5. Oh, boy! Do I agree with Ms. Sue!

  6. Ms. Sue is right. 37.4% of marriages end up in divorce.
