One time I was honest, even when it was really difficult, was when I was in high school. I had a close friend who was struggling with a difficult situation and asked me to keep it a secret. I knew that it was important for them to get help, so I told them that I would not keep it a secret and that I would help them find the resources they needed. Even though it was hard to go against my friend's wishes, I knew that it was the right thing to do and that it would ultimately help them in the long run.
