In which layer of Earth's atmosphere does weather occur

The troposphere is the layer of Earth's atmosphere where weather occurs.

Weather primarily occurs in the troposphere, which is the lowest layer of the Earth's atmosphere. The troposphere begins at the Earth's surface and extends up to an altitude of about 7-17 kilometers (4-11 miles) depending on the region. This layer is where most of the Earth's weather phenomena, such as clouds, precipitation, winds, and storms, take place. Above the troposphere, other atmospheric layers exist, known as the stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere, but these layers have limited influence on weather patterns.
