Explain how humans use technology to store (potential) and/or use (kinetic) energy.

The potential energy in the human body is stored in the form of chemical energy. The bonds and linkages between molecules are examples of potential energy. When these organic molecules break down, it gives energy to the body to do work. For example- glucose molecules release ATP when they undergo cellular respiration. But once you apply force to the battery, the charged particles start to do some work, converting the potential energy into kinetic energy. Similarly, when you switch on a light, the potential energy travels down your wiring and is converted into light and heat that are both forms of kinetic energy.Kinetic energy is also generated by the human body when it is in motion. For instance, a runner builds up kinetic energy that starts in the feet and legs and is generally converted to heat. That is why runners (and other athletes) start to feel hot when they are running or exercising.
