To Estimate a cube root, you must first list all of your perfect cubes here up to 1000:
Next, find the perfect square or perfect cube that your number lies between.
For example if you were estimating the41, then you would look at the perfect squares 36 (6 x 6) and 49 (7 x 7).
36 < 41 < 49
36 < 41 < 49
6 < 41 < 7
So,41 lies between 6 and 7…. So, 6._____
Since 41 is 5 from 36 and 8 from 49, 41 is closer to 6, but not by much.
Estimate square root 41 to be about 6.4 or 6.41 or 6.40.

For example, if you were estimating the 337, then you would look at the perfect cubes 27 (3 x 3 x 3) and 64 (4 x 4 x 4).
27 < 37 < 64
327 < 337 < 364
3 < 337 < 4
So, 337lies between 3 and 4….So, 3.____
Since 37 is 10 away from 27 and 27 away from 64, 337is closer to 3.
Estimate 337 to be about 3.3.

Estimate the following square and cube roots by using the above process. Circle any Rational Roots.
