I think the pros outweigh the cons. Because, there are many benefits that save our Earth. Vertical cities stop the destruction deforestation. Vertical cities also decrease the amount of fossil fuels all over the world. Cities that expand out ward are destroying our beautiful Earth. But , when they expand up ward less land is needed. Less cars are needed for transportation. The towers are ideal for windmills, which stops fossil fuel burning.

I personally think the cons outweigh the pros. I do think that a vertical city would help the environment but I think that it would be bad for the people. I think it is not healthy to be around so many people and live in such a small place. People would probably not enjoy as many outdoor activities as well. There would be a higher percentage height related accidents. It would also be a disaster even if only one building had a structural failure and there was an earthquake. In all I think that a vertical city is not the best idea and that it would be better to save the environment in other ways, but still live a healthy and enjoyable life.
