For x =  2
 x + 3  =   2 + 3  =  1  = 1
For x = 2
 x + 3  =  2 + 3  =  5  = 5
In Cartesian coordinate system mark points (  2 , 1 ) and ( 2 , 5 )

⌊x+3⌋ is a step function
plot (2,1) with a solid dot. Draw a horizontal line to (1,1)
plot (1,2) with a solid dot. Draw a horizontal line of length 1
