I have some short essay Biology questions due today for a test. Can someone please help me?

1. Plants in different environments have challenges that only they have. For example, the growth of a plant in a rain forest (e.g., an orchid) might be more affected by different things than a plant in a desert (e.g., a succulent). In three to five sentences, compare environmental challenges that could affect the photosynthetic process of a rain forest plant versus a desert plant.

2. In 3 to 5 sentences, describe the relationship between a glucose molecule and the products it makes during cellular respiration.

3. Remember the law of conservation of mass. The human body uses cellular respiration to make energy. Using the chemical equation for cellular respiration, explain how the amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide inhaled by the lungs is different from the amounts exhaled. Explain your answer in 1-2 sentences.

4. Dragonflies are flying insects. In the summer, dragonflies can be seen perched on tree branches in an obelisk pose (i.e., a handstand position with the tip of their abdomen pointing upward). In 3–5 sentences, describe how dragonflies might control their body temperature and give reasons for why they might perch in this pose.

If someone could help me with these, that would be terrific! I have the rest of the answers, these are the only ones I'm stuck on.

I'm 9 days late but I got u bro :)

In the Northern Hemisphere, climate scientists observe seasonal changes in carbon dioxide concentration with the highest levels measured in May and the lowest levels measured in October. Hypothesize how photosynthesis can affect these changes. Explain your answer in three to five sentences.(4 points)

It means that in the Northern Hemisphere, the photosynthetic activities of plants peaks in October and is lowest in May. Photosynthesis generally involved the fixation of carbon dioxide. The gas combines with other inorganic products like water and radiant energy from the sun to form sugar in plants. Hence, the photosynthetic activity of plants in an area is inversely proportional to the carbon dioxide level of the area. When photosynthesis goes up, the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere comes down, and vice versa.

Plants in different environments have challenges that only they have. For example, the growth of a plant in a rainforest (e.g., an orchid) might be more affected by different things than a plant in a desert (e.g., a succulent). In three to five sentences, compare environmental challenges that could affect the photosynthetic process of a rainforest plant versus a desert plant.(4 points)

For starters, the desert is really hot and has a lower amount of water. A rainforest has a ton of water and has a better climate. One thing that's from the desert that would die in the rainforest is a cactus. I say this because the cactus plant is used to a harsh dry environment and growing in the direct sun, if its put in a shaded, moist, and cooler environment it simply would not flourish. If you took mushrooms out of the rainforest and put it in the desert it would not thrive, because mushrooms need a cooler and more moist environment. They are not tough enough to withstand the harsh environment of the desert.

In 3 to 5 sentences, describe the relationship between a glucose molecule and the products it makes during cellular respiration.(4 points)

During cellular respiration, a glucose molecule is gradually broken down into carbon dioxide and water. Along the way, ATP is produced directly in the reactions that transform glucose. However, more ATP is later produced in a process called oxidative phosphorylation.

Remember the law of conservation of mass. The human body uses cellular respiration to make energy. Using the chemical equation for cellular respiration, explain how the amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide inhaled by the lungs is different from the amounts exhaled. Explain your answer in 1-2 sentences.(2 points)

When we exhale, the composition of the air remains almost the same as the air we inhale, only the percentage of carbon dioxide and oxygen changes. The amount of inhaled air contains 21% of oxygen and 0.04% of carbon dioxide, while the air we breathe out contains 16.4% of oxygen and 4.4% of carbon dioxide.

Dragonflies are flying insects. In the summer, dragonflies can be seen perched on tree branches in an obelisk pose (i.e., a handstand position with the tip of their abdomen pointing upward). In 3–5 sentences, describe how dragonflies might control their body temperature and give reasons for why they might perch in this pose.(4 points)

The powered flight regulate body temperature and obelisk posture helps to prevent overheating due to sun. Dragonflies control their body temperature with the help of controlling metabolic heat production by alternately using powered flight as well as controlling heat loss by change the circulation between thorax and abdomen. The obelisk posture adopt by the dragonflies in order to prevent overheating due to sun. The dragonflies raised their abdomen until its tip pointed to the sun in order to minimizing the surface area exposed to solar radiation so we can conclude that powered flight regulate body temperature and obelisk posture helps to prevent overheating due to sun.

Enjoy your answers<3 We are all struggling so i try to help when i can :)

For anyone else that came here enjoy as well😊 You can reword as u like but make sure u fit the sentence requirements ex.(1-2 sentences answer)

I wish to not hear anything from Mrs. sue or anyone else that thinks this is cheating. If we were going to public schools we'd discuss the answers the same way<3
