Part 1 She has 36 feet of fencing to use for the pen. She wants the pen to be shaped like a rectangle. What are the possible dimensions of the pen?
2w + 2l = 38
w + l = 19
So any two numbers that add up to 19 will do,
e.g. 4.5 and 14.5, 6 and 13, 9.123 and 9.877, .....
there will be an infinite pair of such numbers.
If you want your rectangle's dimension to be whole number, which
you did not say, then the choices would be limited to
(1,18), (2,17), (3,16) , ...., (9,10), (10, 9), ..., (18,1)
