Using a ruler and a pair of compass only, construct triang ABC in which AB=10cm, BC=6cm and ABC=45, locate the point D inside the triangle ABC such that D is equidistant from AB and AC and 5cm from B construct a straight line through D to cut AB at X and AC at Y such that AX=AY, measure AY

Help me

using a ruler and a pair of Compasses

only
a. Construct triangle ABC in which AB = 10cm, BC = 6cm, angle ABC 45°

b..locate the point D inside the triangle ABC. Such that D is s equidistant from AB on AC and 5cm from B

C. Construct a straight line to Cut AB at X and AC at Y such that AX= AY.
Measure AY

a.

To construct triangle ABC, draw a line segment AB of length 10 cm using a ruler.
At point A, draw an angle of 45 degrees using a pair of compasses.
From point A again, measure a line segment AC of length 6 cm using a ruler.
Connect the points B and C to complete triangle ABC.

b.
To locate point D, take the compass and measure a distance of 5 cm from point B along the line segment AB and make a small arc on both sides of the line.
Now take the compass and place the tip on point A and extend the compass to point C. Draw small arcs on both sides of the line.
Where the two arcs intersect is point D, which is equidistant from AB and AC, and 5 cm from B.

c.
To draw a straight line through D that intersects AB at X and AC at Y such that AX = AY, take the compass and measure the distance from D to A.
Without changing the width of the compass, place the compass tip on point X and draw an arc above and below AB.
Repeat the same process from point Y.
Where the two arcs intersect is Point D. Draw a straight line from D that intersects AB at X and AC at Y.

To measure AY, use a ruler to measure the length of segment AY.
