in 3–5 sentences, explain how a theme of a story is different from its main idea. In your response, include a definition of theme and a definition of a main idea.

A main idea is what the book is mostly about. In a main idea you explain the main point of what the author is explaining to you(Like short summary). A theme is a message, lesson, or moral of the book.

someone please help me

But...your here 😬

A main idea is what the book is mostly about. In a main idea you explain the main point of what the author is explaining to you(Like short summary). A theme is a message, lesson, or moral of the book. this is from brainly make sure to put in your words @sean is right

This one is easy. I am not going to write it complete out because I don't want to encourage cheating. Anyways, the theme of a story is a moral or a lesson learned. The Main ideas of a story tells us what the story is about. If for some reason you're in 7th grade and you don't know the difference between the main idea and the theme them I guess you can look it up, but for real you're in 7th grade. Anyways, I hope this helped you! Please don't cheat! And I don't recommend copying and pasting this unless you have proof that it's right! <3

Never be confused! Because there is a big different between these two. As a theme is the message, lesson, or moral. It's mainly to teach you something. While main idea is what the story is mainly about. With the main idea you explain the main point of what the author is explaining to you(Like short summary)

-This is just for examples, if you copy and paste they will know trust me-
