1. Your choice is OK. Answer A could be right also if the heat raises the T above 1300 C. Even if it doesn't, however, if 1300 C is the boiling point of a substance than added heat will cause a phase change from say solid to liquid or liquid to vapor and the kinetic energy is increasing in a phase change because the particles in the liquid or gas are moving faster.
