Which identify key colonial holdings that Allied power nations continued to control after World War I?

Select all that apply.

Britain in India
Russia in Poland
United States in Japan
France in Vietnam

I think its a and c but my text didnt explain it very well so im kinda confused

That is a relief :)

The sure ones are 1 and 4. India and Vietnam were colonies although the British gave up India not long after the Japanese were kicked out of the area.

The question is weird.

thank you! 1 and 4 were correct

okay Damon is my favorite teacher here so far

so would it be all except c?

Assume you mean WW TWO

I am inclined to say all of them but Japan was never really a US "colony" even though General MacArthur ran the country for a while after the war.
Similarly Russia certainly ran Poland and the rest of the countries beyond the iron curtain but Poland was never a "colony" as such.

i agree

The US had the Philippine islands but idk about Russia

To determine which colonial holdings Allied power nations continued to control after World War I, let's break down each option:

A) Britain in India: This is correct. After World War I, Britain maintained control over India as part of its colonial empire.

B) Russia in Poland: This option is incorrect. Russia did not control Poland as a colony after World War I. In fact, Poland regained its independence following the war.

C) United States in Japan: This option is incorrect. Japan was not a colonial holding of the United States after World War I. While the United States did have some influence in Japan during the post-war period, it was not under direct colonial control.

D) France in Vietnam: This option is correct. After World War I, France continued to control Vietnam as a part of French Indochina, which also included Laos and Cambodia.

Therefore, the correct options for the colonial holdings that Allied power nations continued to control after World War I are A) Britain in India and D) France in Vietnam.
