A Canadian goose migrated at a steady rate of 3 miles every 4 minutes. I have to complete the table below. Please help

Time(min) 4 8 12 16 20
Distance (mi) 3

How would I figure out the rest of this table? Please help.

4/3 is the slope.

workings;
4 8 12 16 20 is the top
3 6 9 12 15 is the bottom
Because the Canadian goose migrated at a steady rate of 3 miles every 4 minutes. So you start from 4 and add then by 4 again and again 4 + 4= 8 + 4= 12.... you do the same thing for the bottom 3 + 3= 6 + 3= 9....
How i got the slope is by taking the numerator and denominator and cutting them to their simplest form. ex. 16/12= 4/3 and 4/3 is already cut to their simplest form :) thank me later

But u flip the slope upside which is 3/4. 3/4 is the slopeeeee.....

The speed increases by 3 miles every 4 minutes.

4 - 3
8 - 6

Hello Ms. Sue. Thank you so much. I understand now the way you explained it. How would I be able to graph the relationship?

To find the rest of the table, you need to determine the distance the Canadian goose traveled at each time interval. Since the goose migrated at a steady rate of 3 miles every 4 minutes, you can set up a proportion to find the distance traveled at each time interval.

Using the given ratio of 3 miles per 4 minutes, you can set up the proportion:

3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / y minutes

Now, let's calculate the distances for each time interval:

For time interval 4 minutes:
3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / 4 minutes

Using cross multiplication:
4 minutes * x miles = 3 miles * 4 minutes

This simplifies to:
4x miles = 12 miles

Dividing both sides by 4 gives:
x miles = 12 miles / 4
x miles = 3 miles

Therefore, for time interval 4 minutes, the distance traveled by the Canadian goose is 3 miles.

You can continue the same process for the remaining time intervals:

For time interval 8 minutes:
3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / 8 minutes
4 * x = 3 * 8
4x = 24
x = 24 / 4
x = 6

So, for time interval 8 minutes, the distance traveled is 6 miles.

For time interval 12 minutes:
3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / 12 minutes
4 * x = 3 * 12
4x = 36
x = 36 / 4
x = 9

For time interval 16 minutes:
3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / 16 minutes
4 * x = 3 * 16
4x = 48
x = 48 / 4
x = 12

For time interval 20 minutes:
3 miles / 4 minutes = x miles / 20 minutes
4 * x = 3 * 20
4x = 60
x = 60 / 4
x = 15

So, completing the table, you would have:

Time(min) 4 8 12 16 20
Distance (mi) 3 6 9 12 15

____ /_____ y

To find the slope of this table would it be

Y2-Y1/X2-X1
6-3/8-4=3/4
3/4 would be the slope
m=3/4
Am I correct on this?

To find the y intercept
y=mx+b
3=3/4(4)=12/4=3
3=3+b
I am having trouble finding the solution for b
How would I do this? Am I correct on this?

Would b=0?
