To find the mean, you add all the numbers together and then divide by how many numbers their were.

Embershy is right, but you when you add all the number together you divide that number by how many numbers there are in the data set,
1, 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 29 = 144/12 = 12
35, 20, 20, 22, 23, 26, 13, 17, 2, 2, 3, 9 = 192, 192/12 = 16
So the mean for Doctor 1 is '12' and the mean for Doctor 2 '16'
