The table shows two cell phone plans that offer free minutes for each given number of paid minutes used. Pablo has Plan A and Sam has Plan B
Plan A
Free Minutes=2
Paid Minutes=10
Plan B
Free Minutes=8
Paid Minutes=25
a. What is Pablo's ratio of free to paid minutes?
2:10 or 2/10=1:5 or 1 free minute to every 5 paid minutes
b. What is Sam's ratio of free to paid minutes?
8:25 or 8 free minutes to every 25 paid minutes
c. Does Pablo's cell phone plan offer the same ratio of free to paid minutes as Sam's? Explain.
My Answer is-No it does not
I am stuck on answering how do they want me to explain this?
Can you please help and check all my answers to make sure if I got them right or wrong
heh, i have the same math problem for homework today.....
Pablos Ratio: 2:10
Sams ratio: 8:25
Does Pablo's cell phone plan offer the same ratio?
No, because 2:10 and 8:25 are not equivalent,
I think I understand now a little more. So the answer would be No Pablo's cell phone plan does not offer the same ratio of free to paid as Sam's because Pablo's cell phone plan provides free minutes which are basically equal to the paid minutes.
Would I be correct?
