    horizontal distance= 6 meters.
    it forms a right triangle.

    Use phythagorean theorem:
    c^2=a^2+b^2
    in this case: a=5m and b=6m or either way.

    c^2=5^2+6^2
    c^2=25+36
    c^2=61
    by square root: (both sides)
    c=sqrt61
    c=7.81 m
    AB=7.8 meter long
