A school is keeping track of the number of tickets remaining for its year-end festival. The table shows the number of sales for the first, second, third, and fourth weeks of the month leading up to the festival. Which graph could represent the data shown in the table?

Day Tickets
1 | 800
2 | 371
3 | 182
4 | 78

Please explain. I am not sure how to solve these. Thanks so much!

To represent the data shown in the table, you can use a line graph. A line graph is commonly used to display data that changes over a continuous period of time, such as the sales of tickets over a period of weeks.

To create the line graph:
1. On a piece of graph paper or using a graphing software, create a horizontal x-axis to represent the days of the month.
2. Create a vertical y-axis to represent the number of tickets sold.
3. Plot the data points on the graph by placing a point or a dot above the corresponding day on the x-axis and at the corresponding ticket count on the y-axis.
- For example, the first data point (Day 1, 800 tickets) would be plotted by placing a dot above Day 1 on the x-axis at a height of 800 on the y-axis.
4. Connect the data points with a line to represent the sales trend over time.

By following these steps, you will have a line graph that visually represents the number of tickets sold each day leading up to the festival.

I agree

"Which graph" ??

Were there graphs shown in the question?
Clearly a decreasing graph is needed.
Hard to tell what form it would take by looking only at 4 ordered pairs.
Pattern of functions:
2 points are needed to establish a linear graph
3 points are needed to establish a quadratic
4 points are needed to establish a cubic
etc
