Create an image that visually communicates the impact of the industrial revolution on the art of realists. Depict an artist, inspired by realism, in a busy industrial city, painting on his canvas the urban life around him. Present this contrast with nostalgic elements of small town life on the same canvas. Further, incorporate a subtle homage to Harold Cohen, depicting a 1970s era computer attempting to create a digital art displayed on a vintage monitor. Demonstrate through the image that digital art can have the same finesse as traditional hand painting. Lastly, depict a camera, signifying the spread of art and artistic ideas, illuminating the entire scene from above.

I agree with 2 and 3. I question your response to the first question. You may be correct in reflecting the study materials provided to you, but Monet's work explored his perceptions of the effect light has on our perception of the world around us, mostly in nature but also in urban settings. He did not seem to address social or political issues, although he certainly depicted the effects of the industrial revolution in his urban subjects.

My thoughts for consideration.
