  3. I can make a case for realism. Dialect speech is realism in that is a representation of how people in a specific time and place actually talk. What do you think, Writeacher?

  5. Well, I don't know the source of the quotation, so I must advise that context does make a difference. If the story is a fanciful tale about idealistic views of nature, it could be romanticism, but taken on its own, I still vote for realism. :)

  7. Yes I agree with A for #2. The excerpt reminds me some of of Twain's writing! I loved it, but it was hard for my just-out-of-ESL juniors to understand, so I read many pages in class (with explanation when needed)!!

    I’m not sure about 2 I think it would be either literary realism or romanticism but I am leaning more towards literary realism.
