Hi,

Umm, can someone give me an example because I'm kind of confused. I need help! Please help me!

For this portfolio, you will design an experiment to investigate the relationship between the number of coil loops and a strength of a solenoid. Once you have an experimental plan, carry out your experiment and record your data. After you finished conducting the experiment, write a conclusion that explains your results.

Please help me by explaining or give me example! Thanks,
Isobel.

I did that experiment last year. The strength of a solenoid is how well it functions as a magnet. With one trial, put x number of loops and see how many paper clips (or any other metal object) are attracted. With the next trial, put y number of loops with the same metal object(s). Which trial attracted more?

This helped me out a lot i was so confused with this assignment. What anonymous said was really helpful all you need to do is fill in the x and y and get copper wire and paperclips and... BOOM youre pretty much done. Thanks again!!!!

I need the answer to this?

Thanks this helped alot

I can't tell you what to fill in the data table yet but I do have the list of materials!

D battery
Electrical tape
Long nail
Metal wire
Paper clips
I recommend changing these up a smidge!

Darling what ya have to understand is that this experiment is easy.

the amount of coil loops is simple my dear.

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
any of those darlings can be used as your x and y.

You have to see how many crunchy yummy paper clips attract.
The more coils, the more paper clips will attract.
Do me a favor and scream YES!!!

YES!

Sooo which one attracted more??
